The gap between education and industry is narrowing as Kawan Lama Group joins forces with Universitas Ciputra Jakarta to launch the Introduction to Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program. The initiative responds to a growing need: today's graduates must be more than work-ready; they need the courage to create opportunities and open new jobs for others. Through this program, students learn directly from real industry experience, blending classroom theory with genuine business practice.
What sets this program apart is the direct involvement of six Kawan Lama Group business units, AZKO, INFORMA, Toys Kingdom, ATARU, SELMA, and Chatime, each contributing insights and experience from a different corner of the industry.

Commenting on the collaboration, Melinda Pudjo, Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Communications and Sustainability at Kawan Lama Group, said the program reflects the company's genuine commitment to introducing students to real-world industry practices early on. "We believe collaboration between education and industry is key to preparing a young generation that is not only competent, but also brave enough to seize opportunities and create new value for society," she said.
This is not Kawan Lama Group’s first initiative in this area. Through the Kawan Lama Mengajar program, the company has previously been actively involved in various educational initiatives, ranging from supporting the #RuangPrestasi program to improve educational facilities, the 1,000 Vocational Students Level Up program, to Kawan Lama Solution, which also actively contributes to improving the quality of vocational students through initiatives such as vocational education development and support for the Metrology Olympiad.
This consistent commitment underscores Kawan Lama Group’s dedication to bridging the gap between education and industry, while empowering young people to be work-ready, embrace innovation, and create opportunities and employment for communities at large.
