Improving educational facilities in Indonesia remains a challenge in many regions. A learning environment that is comfortable, organized, and functional both in teachers’ rooms and classrooms plays a crucial role in supporting more effective and high-quality teaching and learning processes. Responding to this need, INFORMA, a leading furniture and lifestyle retailer under PT Home Center Indonesia, continues to expand its social initiative #RuangPrestasi to two schools in North Sumatra: SMP Charis Langkat and SD Swasta HKBP Sibolga.

INFORMA’s Commitment to Quality Education

Bertha Hapsari, Vice President of Marketing Communication at INFORMA, stated that the program reflects the company’s tangible contribution to improving education quality.

“Through the #RuangPrestasi program in Langkat and Sibolga, we aim to support educators so they can perform their roles more optimally. We believe that a well-designed and comfortable space can enhance the teaching and learning experience and create a sustainable positive impact,” she said.

Launched in 2025, the #RuangPrestasi program is part of the company’s social commitment aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education.

Since its inception, the program has reached several regions across Indonesia, including Abepura, Palangkaraya, and Tarakan, benefiting more than 337 teachers and students.

Revitalizing Teachers’ Rooms for a Better Learning Environment

In Langkat and Sibolga, INFORMA revitalized teachers’ rooms by introducing:

  • Ergonomic desks and chairs
  • Additional storage cabinets for books and documents
  • Improved room layout for better organization and functionality

The revitalization was carried out on April 1, 2026, in Langkat, and April 9, 2026, in Sibolga.

These improvements are expected to create a more comfortable and functional working environment for teachers, enabling them to enhance teaching quality and foster a more inspiring learning atmosphere for students.

A teacher from SD Swasta HKBP Sibolga shared her experience:
“The teachers’ room is now much more comfortable and well-organized. We can focus better on preparing learning materials and collaborating with fellow teachers. This has greatly helped us improve the quality of our teaching.”

INFORMA’s Expansion in North Sumatra

Beyond its social initiatives, INFORMA’s commitment is also reflected in its wide range of high-quality furniture solutions for homes and businesses, offering diverse, functional designs.

Currently, INFORMA operates seven stores across North Sumatra, located in Medan, Pematangsiantar, and Aceh. This expansion makes it easier for communities to access furniture solutions that create more comfortable and productive spaces.

Through the #RuangPrestasi program, INFORMA continues to deliver a positive impact on education in Indonesia, while supporting the creation of more conducive, comfortable, and inspiring learning environments for future generations.
