Expanding Distribution, INFORMA Exports Furniture for the First Time

INFORMA, the most complete furniture and lifestyle store for home and business - as part of Kawan Lama Group, initiates export to Singapore for the first time. The first furniture export was conducted on Thursday 30 June 2022 at the Distribution Center Jababeka, Bekasi, attended by management of PT Home Center Indonesia as the company that holds INFORMA brand. 

“INFORMA has been present 18 years in Indonesia to fulfill stylish quality furniture and accessories for home and business. We are proud today INFORMA released its first furniture export to Singapore,” said MJ. Benjamin Pattiwael, Supply Chain Management Director of INFORMA.

In this moment, INFORMA exports sofas, work tables and chairs, also other products suitable to support 'work from home'. As the biggest furniture retailer in Indonesia, INFORMA has been well known by its quality and modern design products. By this first export, INFORMA becomes more optimistic that its products will be more known in international market.

Some of the exported products come from Golden Dacron and Golden Living factories, which are parts of Kawan Lama Group in Manufacturing & Engineering business pillar. These factories are located in Banten province, manufacturing mattresses, multi beds, pillows and bolsters, sofa beds, sofas, and more. By its reliable production capacity, Golden Dacron and Golden Living are capable for supplying domestic furniture needs and export challenge. 

Frenky Mulyanto as Manufacturing Director added, “This first export release by INFORMA is a proud achievement to us. We also hope that this can be a positive step for furniture export growth in Indonesia. This step is also a token of our spirit to expand distribution and support business sector growth, especially the export oriented ones.

Indonesia is one of the biggest furniture exporters in the world. Indonesia's furniture industry keeps achieving positive export performance. Based on BPS (Statistics Indonesia) data, there was increase in export rate at 30.8% year on year in January-August 2021 (Source: dataindonesia.id).
