After opening new Living Plaza locations in Kendari, Cianjur, and Palu, this year’s expansion continues with the opening of Living Plaza Batam, located on Jl. Ahmad Yani & Jl. Sudirman, Plamo Garden Complex, Batam, on 23 October 2025.
David Lesmana, Director of Living Plaza, stated, “We see strong economic growth potential and increasing demand for modern home and lifestyle solutions in this city. With the opening of Living Plaza Batam as a ‘One-stop Shopping for Home Furnishing & Lifestyle’, we aim to provide a comprehensive and comfortable shopping destination for the people of Batam. This expansion is part of Kawan Lama Group’s commitment to get closer to communities and to bring value for a better life through quality products and services.”

With a total area of over 9,100 sqm, Living Plaza Batam features a modern minimalist architectural design combined with warm touches, creating a welcoming and accessible atmosphere for visitors to enjoy their time comfortably. A range of Kawan Lama Group’s retail brands are present at this location, including AZKO, a home and lifestyle inspiration brand from A to Z, INFORMA, the most comprehensive furniture and lifestyle center for home and business, INFORMA Electronics, offering a convenient and secure electronics shopping experience, and EYE SOUL, a stylish eyewear destination for both children and adults. While shopping, visitors can also refresh themselves with Chatime, a brewed tea beverage brand with more than 50 flavor choices, or enjoy Korean-style meals from Cupbop.

Aligned with Kawan Lama Group’s mission to bring value for a better life, Living Plaza also strives to deliver a positive impact to the local community. Together with other Kawan Lama Group brands, Living Plaza Batam organized a series of social initiatives aimed at nurturing awareness and care from an early age. These activities include clean and healthy lifestyle education in collaboration with the Health and Education Offices, providing library facilities, and cleanliness campaigns involving students from SDN 005 Batam as an expression of care for the environment and education.

In fulfilling its social role, Living Plaza also offers career opportunities for local talent to grow in their hometown. “Furthermore, Living Plaza Batam creates a positive economic impact, with around 90% of the workforce being residents. By creating new job opportunities and empowering local talents, we hope Living Plaza can become a catalyst for growth and pave the way toward more equitable prosperity,” closed David.
