As part of its sustainability commitment to making a positive impact on society, Kawan Lama Group conducted sacrificial animal distribution during Eid al-Adha 1446 H. This event has been a yearly tradition that reflects care and the spirit of sharing with others. After previously reaching 20 cities, this year the distribution of sacrificial animals has been expanded to 25 cities in Indonesia, directly touching people in the company’s operational areas. Through this program, the Kawan Lama Group hopes to strengthen social bonds with society while spreading the spirit of goodness, which is the essence of Eid al-Adha.

This event has also been part of Kawan Lama Group’s spirit in celebrating its 70-year journey alongside the Indonesian people. At every growing step, the Kawan Lama Group strives to maintain consistency in sharing benefits, not just through products and services, but also through social contributions that are relevant to people’s needs.

Melinda Pudjo, Vice President Corporate Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability Kawan Lama Group, stated, “This sacrificial program is a real token of caring value which we uphold in Kawan Lama Group. We believe that the company’s presence must bring meaning and benefits to the surrounding environment, not just in business terms, but also through consistent social contributions. Yearly sacrificial animal distribution is not just part of the company’s tradition, but also a reflection of our commitment to keep being present and grow together with society.”

More than just a social activity, this sacrificial program reflects how the Kawan Lama Group implements the company’s core value of bringing value for a better life into real action. This commitment is reflected in the company's efforts to provide direct and relevant benefits to society, especially in areas surrounding its operational sites. At 70 years of age, Kawan Lama Group continues to emphasise its role as a caring partner that is consistently present in people’s daily lives. The sacrificial program becomes one of the real tokens that demonstrate how a company’s value is translated into sustainable social contributions with direct impacts on people nearby.

“We believe that Eid al-Adha is not just about sacrifice, but about sharing hope and goodness. Hopefully, this small step can bring big impacts to society, and become a reminder that humanitarian values are always important to keep and run in our daily lives” said Melinda.

Kawan Lama Group is always committed to bringing value to society through contributions to Indonesia, in line with sustainable values.
