Kawan Lama Group takes part in anticipating the effects of climate change and global warming through the tree planting event attended by the President of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo. The event, whose theme was “Make the Jakarta Sky Blue”, was undertaken at JIEP City Forest at the Industrial Area of Pulogadung, East Jakarta, on 29 November 2023.
Representing Kawan Lama Group, Mercy Francisca Hutahaean, as Legal & Government Relations Director, came and did a tree planting and supported 1,600 trees as a token of commitment to regreening the planet and Jakarta city forest planting.
Kawan Lama Group has also done various environmental sustainability activities, such as distributing over one million trees since 2016, completing city park facilities in three cities, and making clean water accesses in five villages in East Nusa Tenggara.
