Kawan Lama Group once again received recognition for its commitment through various programs implemented to support the job readiness of vocational high school (SMK) students. Some of these initiatives include the “1.000 Siswa SMK Sales Naik Kelas” program, as well as various activities such as vocational education development, the donation of high-pressure cleaners to 30 vocational schools, and support for the metrology olympiad.
In commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) of the Republic of Indonesia awarded Kawan Lama Group with the “Apresiasi bagi Industri Berdedikasi: Kolaborasi Retail Membangun SMK Siap Kerja” award (25/5).
The award was presented to Lianawati, Talent Acquisition & Employee Experience General Manager of Kawan Lama Group, by Tatang Muttaqin, S.Sos., M.Ed., Ph.D., Director General of Secondary Education and Special Education, Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, during the Gratitude Night Ceremony for National Education Day 2026, held at the Insan Berprestasi Plaza of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education in Jakarta. This recognition was also given to various education stakeholders and partners who have demonstrated tangible contributions to advancing education in Indonesia.
On this occasion, Lianawati emphasized the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and industry in preparing young people for the workforce.
"We believe that talent development should begin early through strong collaboration between schools and industry. This recognition encourages us to continue supporting initiatives that enhance the readiness and competitiveness of vocational school graduates in Indonesia," she said.
Moving forward, Kawan Lama Group will continue to strengthen partnerships with educational institutions and other stakeholders to support talent development aligned with industry needs, while contributing to the advancement of Indonesia’s human capital and workforce competitiveness.
