Embracing the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri this year, Kawan Lama Group organized a series of iftar (fast-breaking) gatherings across its Head Office, various Distribution Center (DC) and Living World locations, manufacturing facilities in Cikande, and other locations. The events began at 4:00 PM and were opened with a religious talk related to Ramadan. In total, more than 6,100 Kawan Lama Group employees participated, coming together to share meaningful moments of togetherness.
In addition, as a form of care and support for employees, towards the end of Ramadan, Kawan Lama Group once again facilitated mudik bersama (homecoming program) for those wishing to reunite with their families in their hometowns. The program was conducted in three batches on 18, 24, and 26 March, starting at 6:30 PM. Through this initiative, more than 950 employees, along with their family members, were transported from the Head Office, DC, and Cikande using 20 buses, with destinations including Blora, Solo, Yogyakarta, Bumiayu, Kebumen, and Lampung.
As reflected in this year’s theme, “Growing Together in the Month of Ramadan, Creating Meaningful Impact,” this moment is both a hope and a reminder that Ramadan is the right time to strengthen our togetherness, while continuing to grow into better individuals so that we can create a positive impact on the community, in line with Kawan Lama Group’s mission to bring value for a better life.
Last year, Kawan Lama Group also held a similar homecoming program as part of its 70th anniversary celebration. This annual initiative has been carried out since 2018, in line with the company’s mission to bring value for a better life.
